Dave Lehl is one of the best snowboard photographers in North America. Luckily we are good friends and were allowed to tag along during one of his photoshoots in the back country of Vail, Colorado. In Dave’s own words, what you are about to watch is “pretty typical”…Click the post for another video of Dave talking about his career.
At the young age of 25, professional photographer Michelle Moore is producing some really amazing images. Check out her latest project and click the link to read about how she photographed these editorial fashion images for Salt&Prep
Today I am featuring a video that has hands down been the most important bit of information I credit in my own personal success as a photographer. Watch as Chase Jarvis encouraging young photographers to continue being creative and how to build success around your photography.
Marie-Louise Cadosch of Marc and Louis Photography has put together an amazing Bond-like photoshoot. Ater you check out their BTS video you can head on over to their website: www.marcandlouis.com

Welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. Lee and Patrick have flown in to the Big Apple for another photo shoot. This one sounds like it is going to be amazing. Tomorrow night we should all be out causing a little trouble in NYC. Another crazy week going on, so take a pause and enjoy some of the videos you have sent in. Send in your videos contactfstoppers@gmail.com .
Joel Grimes has an amazing portfolio and in this video we get a glimpse of what it takes to shoot and then edit one of his images. Check out Joel’s website at www.joelgrimes.com and visit www.joelgrimesworkshops.com for more tutorials.
It’s not often that we see photoshoots taking place a night. After you watch the Bui Brothers knock this shoot out, head over to there blog to view the stills from the shoot here.
Here is a very simple video of a very complicated photoshoot. I have trouble posing 1 subject but Douglas has to pose 7 guys, a truck, and a hovering helicopter. After turning day into night with Photoshop this is one successful shoot.
A few days ago I posted Patrick’s video of his friends jumping on a trampoline in the desert… I just ran across his skim boarding video on vimeo and I am once again smiling while I watch his work. You want to know how he did it? Simple; he put a GoPro HD Hero on a monopod and threw it around in the ocean. Love it!
I am currently up here in NYC and Patrick Hall is coming up on Monday. Our goal was to come to the city to create our next Fstoppers video and the photographer that we had planned to feature doesn’t have any big shoots lined up for next week. If you happen to to be, or know of a great photographer in NYC that will be doing a shoot on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week please give me, Lee Morris, an email (rlmorrisphoto@gmail.com) or a phone call (843.697.4282). We would love to feature you/them free of charge. At this point we are looking for a product/car photographer but since it is so last minute any cool photoshoot will do. If you happen to live in NYC and simply want to party with us feel free to call or email too :)
What do you do when you have to make a commercial featuring Kim Kardashian eating a grilled chicken salad? You throw her in a bed and a bath and remind everyone to eat healthier; of course!
The guys over at Zacuto have released their second video of their series that compares film cameras to the current lineup of DSLR cameras. In this video you will see how different ISOs compare across the various cameras tested. It’s pretty interesting and this is about as thorough of a test you would probably ever care to run.
