A Different Kind of Art Exhibition
If you are fortunate enough to be in London right now Lukas Renlund and Anders Lönnfeldt are wrapping up their third and last day of “Steal My Photograph! London” (ending 4pm London time). This series is one of my favorite photo exhibit concepts to date. In case you missed them, here is the 1st and 2nd installment of the series. I’ll bring you the results of the London exhibit as soon as the boys get it off the cutting room floor.
“Many cultures believe that when taking a photograph a piece of the sitter’s soul becomes concealed in the image. But that’s just old superstition, or is it? Steal My Photograph! visits London this October to give this statement the benefit of the doubt. We are inviting all Londoners to White Rose Court by Widegate Street 14, E1 7HP to part-take in a very different kind of art exhibition. Photographs will be up for grabs in return for a small piece of our Art Thieves identities – a tradeoff most of us are all too comfortable to make in our increasingly digitised lives.”
