Howdy, and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. For those who may be new to the site, my name is Jerrit, and I help Lee and Patrick go through all of the videos sent in to us by you, the readers. Not every video can make the front of FS but many videos do have a lot to offer. Instead of throwing all of these extra videos out, I compile my favorites (which are usually the most informative) each Wednesday so you can learn from them as well. If you have a video that you think we might like to post, please click on “submit content” above.

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This week I had a home town guy (Greg) send me a video. Yep, straight from the big D, Dallas Texas. It is a little risqué so please make sure you know who is looking over your shoulder at work. We also have another video sent in from Jorge. Thanks again guys for sharing your work with the crowd here at Fstoppers. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This week we have two videos sent in by the crowd at fstoppers. Always great seeing what our readers / creative crowd produces. We also have a video from David Ziser. He walks us through lighting a wedding bridal shoot and editing of the final product. Help us out and send in your behind the scenes shoots. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. Sorry for the delay in the post this morning. Last night I got the chance to see some of the best lighting I have ever seen. I went and saw the opening of the Radio City Rockettes. The light and venue blew me away before the girls even made it on stage. It is insane how much lighting really affects our eyes and images. Lighting, natural or strobed, it is what makes our photos. Check out the videos we have today.contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This week I ran across a pretty cool tool for photographers on the go. I have heard of the possiblity of having a model release on your Iphone, however I never gave it a shot. This week I did some research and downloaded one of the apps. Here is a blog post about two of the apps. http://www.thedigitaltrekker.com/2010/03/mrelease-review/ . I ended up downloading iRelease-Lite, it is free so no complaints and pretty cool so far. If you search model release on the app store you can find these apps. Anyone have one of these apps for another smart phone? We also have some Halloween shoots in the line up. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. Tonight I had the chance, with a bunch of fellow fstoppers, to see Chase Jarvis speak and sign his newest book in person. It is pretty cool how Chase gives back to the community of photographers and encourages all of us to stay involved. I had the chance to meet several new people and hope to stay in contact. Thanks to Matt who sent in a video this week of a fashion shoot. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This weekend I made an escape up North to Vermont with Lee and another fstopper / photographer Jon. Nothing like having the open road, a lot of rain, and some great conversations on photography. Yes believe it or not that is what we mostly talk about. Jon shared some of his favorite photography blogs and even a couple of podcast. Why I haven’t post any podcast I don’t know. We would love to know what photography podcasts you follow. The last video is a winner check it out. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. I have been trying to figure out how many photographers I was going to have to get together to rent some studio space in NYC. A couple days ago we posted a write up on www.studioshare.org. Well I signed up with the free code posted on fstoppers the other day and found some dirt cheap studio space. In fact I found one place in Brooklyn for $130 a day! So watch some videos and get some ideas then go find some cheap space to shoot. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Hello everyone and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. I have been playing around with my flash a bit this week and forgot about the sync speed for a second (just a split second). I know of the 1/250 sync speed and understand the basic idea, but do you? We have a great video that goes into detail of how the camera and flash sync. Also we have a video sent in by Julien from Canada, thanks again for the videos! contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Hello everyone and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This week I was wondering why people use filters on their lenses. The main purpose I have seen is protection, but after stumbling across some amazing IR images I thought I would try to discover the other options. Most of the techniques are for landscape photography but don’t let that stop you from trying some stuff out. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Hello everyone and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. Happy first day of Autumn, I cannot wait to see the leaves start changing up in the northwest. This week I have a line up of videos on natural lighting. So many times we try to complicate a shot when we can just use some controlled natural light and have some amazing photos pop out. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Hello everyone and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This weekend I learned one of my weaknesses, being able to give direction. Wow, this is something I got the chance to learn while shooting a friends engagement shoot. While working as a second shooter the main photographer directs everything and makes it look easy. I finally got the ball rolling a bit and with some more practice I will feel more at ease while helping couples or even just a model strike a pose. I have found a couple videos on posing for photographers and models. contactfstoppers@gmail.com

Hello everyone and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. What an amazing long weekend in NYC, the weather was perfect. This week we have a couple of car shoots. One breaks down the lighting very well. We also have a themed bad to the bone shoot that gets a little crazy. Send in your behind the scenes video to fstoppers. contactfstoppers@gmail.com
