I bought a box of disposable cameras off of eBay and had friends hold them about the same height. Then I had an actor jump off a bench and I counted 3... 2... 1... and everyone snapped their photo. I was in high school so I had very limited editing knowledge and funds, but it was a fun sequence nonetheless. My guess is they used After Effects to track the motion and to stabilize the shots. Very fun stuff, I love seeing this.

I had The Matrix DVD when I was in high school (ca 2001) and was totally blown away when I watched the behind the scenes featuring Bullet Time (this frozen motion pan around effect).
