I will agree I am a Canon guy but this camera does look cheap from a first impression. You would have thought it would have a flip screen too, I feel a little better knowing I didn’t wait this long for Canon’s mirrorless and bought my Sony 5N several months ago..loving the video on it!

Looks cheap. I’ll get the Pentax K-01 if I have to choose. Maybe a good toy for my kid.

It’s better than the nikon V1 due to its larger sensor. So, you need to compare it to a Sony NEX 5, NEX 5n, NEX 7 or other APS-C cameras like the Fuji X100 and Fuji X Pro 1. I think it’s an ugly camera. But Canon makes pretty good gear. The 22mm lens is kind of odd, though faster than some lenses. The kit lens seems like nothing special, and certainly not very fast. I wonder what lenses will come out for this body besides the ones mentioned above; which I think are nothing special.

I think the OMD Still wins, for build and advanced features. Weather Proofing, View Finder, Articulated screen, retro look ;) Now if the OM-D only had a bigger sensor, I’d be all over it!

I want to do this comparison too. Once this is released, expect a full rundown of the EOS M compared to the current top sellers for interchangeable mirrorless.

Not to start too many murmors, but don’t count Nikon out just yet… they know they need better than the Nikon1 :)

yeah i have the NEX-7 and i would like to know how the canon compares to this. But i think the NEX-5N and the NEX-7 have better sensors, at the moment sony produce the best sensors on the market. You can see it in many new Nikon cameras the most have sony sensors.
