DSLRs. I'm surprised people still purchase "pocket cameras" anymore, I'm guessing it's because they don't have a smartphone. Times R Changin! Gotta love gadgets! =) At first glance I actually thought this was a GoPro rival from Canon. I don't see why Canon or Nikon can't jump head first in that market and dominate. Who knows. Go go Gadget stuff!

I think this is what “pocket cams” are going to. The current versions just don’t make any sense when we have 8-12mp on our phones. I think this is a step in the right direction for all companies to try and beat/catchup with camera phones. To me I think there are three categories, 1. pocket cams that are smaller than our phones but more powerful/faster/connected. 2. pocket(able) pro quality cameras like the fuji X series/ Sony RX1 and 3. It's something completely different and modern and unlike Canon so I hope it does well to push them out-of-the-box. I like the square-form factor. I think it's too pricey, but I think it's a step in the right direction. I love the mobile connectivity. As a pro I don't know if it'll help my work, but I think it fits the modern mood of photography and I'd love to get one for my wife.If it translates into square images in a pro body (PLEASE!) and mobile connectivity in DSLRs I'm all for it!

I’m excited about it.
