Marketing and advertising treads a fine line. Put too little into an initiative, and the audience never engages. Go too far, and it becomes cliché and unattractive. But if you can hit that perfect balance and walk that fine line, perfection can be truly beautiful. When the guys from Golpeavisa were tasked with shooting a cover photo of two-Michelin star chef René Redzepi for Premier Class Magazine, they walked that line with unmatched poise. [more]
Besides being an excellent photographer, Blair Bunting (who you may remember from our Lamborghini Aventador video) is an avid aeronautics hobbyist. He recently had the opportunity to photograph a U.S. military F-16, which was an honor in itself. But when he was offered the chance to fly in the jet, the experience was once in a lifetime. Check out the GoPro madness! [more]
A few decades ago there was a lil’ artist named Andy Warhol, you may have heard of him. He is claimed to be a father of digital art and one of the defining creators of modern art as we know it. He did quite a bit of celebrity paintings and digital renderings, and for that he needed polaroids. Check out some of these 80′s p’roids of stars from the past and not so past. Enjoy! [more]

As a pyromaniac I am instantly satisfied by watching a fire breather spit flames in any way. But show it too me in ultra slow motion at 2,000 FPS and I am mesmerized! Chris Bolton is the creator of this short video titled “First Time”. Essentialy, the premise of this video is quite simple, lots of fire breathing, really really slow, from lots of different angles. Chris shot the footage on a Weisscam HS-2 digital video camera and used Cooke S4 prime lenses. Enjoy! [more]

This short documentary from Foam Magazine showcases the work of German photographer Jessica Backhaus. Her portfolio displays her passion for bringing magic into the ordinary and mundane. She simply shoots what she stumbles upon, and has a strong eye for light and composition. I love her repeated use of reflections in windows, mirrors, and water. Here are a few images from her series called What Still Remains:
How well do you know the menu systems of your editing software? There is always that one thing you have to google to find where it is hiding in the menus. Why can’t these software makers design a menu search on the menu bar? It would be faster than hunting for that damn liquify tool. Just type it in and let it populate. I have hunted for to long! Would this help your work flow? Am I just that much of a noob? Can these big software companies help us out?
