Back in July, I reviewed Alien Skin Exposure 5, and decided it was one of the best Photoshop plugins for photographers to date. With its gorgeous film presets and full customization of every tool imaginable, Alien Skin seemed to be miles ahead of the competition, making a system that works well for both the beginner and seasoned pro. This morning, Alien Skin announced the followup to their flagship plugin, with Exposure 6.
The much anticipated Panasonic Lumix GH4 has finally reached the store shelves today and is available for order. We've talked about this camera in the past, and impressed with it's 4K video capabilities, but more so on the fact that it's 10-bit 4:2:2 recording at the same resolution. At the reasonable price point of $1,698, the Panasonic GH4 may be the best camera choice available for videographers on a budget.
Paul C. Buff recently released a brand new Vagabond battery pack, the Vagabond Lithium Extreme. With a price tag of $399.95 this might be the next product you end up buying tonight. There are a few great improvements from their older Vagabond models, and overall, it is exciting to see a new product release from Paul C. Buff.
Andrew Dean from HillBillyGripTruck.com posted his updated video shootout of the Gh4, Gh3, 5d3, 7d, and C100. The results were pretty cool and we were able to get a nice side by side view of quality from each of the cameras as they were all setup to be relatively close in settings. On top of making sure settings were close, all of the cameras shot at the same time in the same exact lighting situation to make sure they were all brought an equal scene to work with.
Yes, Terry Richardson is making the headlines AGAIN. But this time, he seems to have outdone himself from the last few times we have wrote about him. According to Jezebel.com, model Emma Appleton shared a screenshot of a message from Terry Richardson which was offering her a chance to have a featured Vogue shoot in exchange for sex.
Yesterday PhotoShelter shared a list of 9 rockstar photographers who you should most certainly be following, and we think they did a pretty darn good job narrowing down the field to just a handful. It's stacked with some big names and maybe some you haven't heard of.

Ultra Music Festival is one of the largest electronic dance music concerts in the world and brought in over 300,000 people last year in Miami. The heavy-hitting festival along with Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week just wrapped up this past weekend. Eliza O'Neill is just a normal 4-year old, she likes to sing, play soccer and be around her family. But in just few months this is all going to change. Eliza was recently diagnosed with the very rare and terminal Sanfilippo syndrome, which is going to deteriorate her body and brain functionalists very quickly up to a point she won't be able speak or walk. Few photographers and photo companies came together to help Eliza's family raise funds to find a cure for the disease.
I am a bit of a Kickstarter junkie. I love learning about companies trying to take new products to the market, tossing some money behind them and then watching them succeed. This latest project that I just backed, Fractal Filters, has incredible potential. This is definitely worth checking out! But do it quick, it's funding period ends in less than 24 hours!
