Wedding photography to me, is the hardest form of photography. There are so many different elements you have to deal with on extremely shot notices. However from the looks of it, Omar has that taken care of. His wedding/engagement shots are different from anything I have seen. From old vintage looks to high fashion James Bond inspired shots, Omar does it all. [more]
I love B&W photography. There is just something about it that captures you and makes you sit there and stare at it. The work of Ali Muhammad does just that. Though im not the biggest fan of the crops on these shots, I can push that aside and just stare. [more]
” My name is Laina Briedis. I’ve lived on Long Island all my life, and for as long as I can remember I have been captivated with the concept, practice, and art of photography. You could say that I very often try to live vicariously though my pictures- each still frame is a dream I had once, an attempt to capture or at least encompass some aspect of infinity. [more]
With all the DSLRs out right now, not to many people still shoot film. Baohien Ngo is one of the few who does and does it well. The images are what you would expect; colorful, great skin tones, that awesome film grain. You just can’t go wrong with film! [more]
So many times I have traveled abroad to find a fantastic location for a landscape photo, but the light is terrible or haze isn’t allowing for a beautiful view. Rushed schedules don’t typically lend much help for me to scout when I am in a new land, but no bother for Russian photographer, Boguslaw Strempel. This guy must be a master location scout, because he seems to know where all the gorgeous fog is and the light is brilliant in his Russian landscape shots. Enjoy! [more]
A few nights ago I was introduced to the work of Nirrimi. After reading her bio, I was floored to discover this photographer hasn’t even lived two decades yet and has already shot major campaigns for companies like Diesel and Billabong. Her story is very inspirational, and makes me think that maybe I have been playing things too safe with my own career, maybe I should take some chances. If we fall on our face, we can always pick ourselves back up.
Animal lovers alike will appreciate this recent photo series by photographer Gerrard Charles Gethings. He has a great ability in being able to portray a dog’s emotions. As a dog lover myself, it was definitely heart warming to see some of their loving faces portrayed so beautifully. Last year Charles also released a book called Dogonomics on this topic. [more]

Gearing up for the holiday season Canon released a funny new commercial advertising their T4i camera. I really enjoy how companies these days are focusing on videos that gain viewers through creativity and humor rather than pop down millions on a celebrity or buying a prime television commercial ad. I believe all of us can relate with this video and insert ourselves into many of the clips. Take a minute and enjoy their latest commercial just released; then be the first to share it with your friends.

Today I give thanks for friends, family, and many other things, including Ben Von Wong’s latest behind the scenes for his video and still shoot for Filler Magazine, entitled “The Red Mistress.”
