Chase Jarvis Makes A Music Video

I’m one of those bloggers that is going to give credit where credit is due.   I personally can trace my desire to grow as a successful photographer down to about six sources (I’m sure you have yours as well, please share them with us at contactfstoppers@gmail.com)  Chase Jarvis is one of those guys that always seems to hit me like a ton of bricks when I see his work and hear his words.  If you enjoy fstoppers.com then you are just going to have to deal with hearing a lot about Chase because I think there is that much to be learned from the guy. He has accomplished a great deal relatively quick, and I think he has really changed the way the game is played photographically speaking.  He’s also a pretty darn good marketer and business man too!

If you are a photographer and have started shooting video, at some point you have probably thought about having complete control over something like a short film or music video. Well Chase decided to try his hand at a full four minutes and film the entire process from the meeting of the band to the ridiculous edits in final cut pro. In typical Chase fashion, nothing is spared and everyone on the team  is on their A game. It is really fun to watch so many creative individuals come together to put something like this on. It really is a much greater effort than anyone could do as an individual. All these people have their fingerprints in this art. You may not ever want to film a full blown video like this but I think it is still useful to watch a production like this and imagine having to pull off one of these scenes as a still photograph.  Some of these shots would be tough for sure.  There are so many really cool scenes that require flawless technical execution in order to get even something usable let alone solid.  I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did the first time I saw it and you can keep up with Chase at www.chasejarvis.com

I agree,if you have any ounce of creativity, you are definitely keeping up with what Chase is doing! Something about the way he speaks so genuinely about photography and the arts makes me want to get out there and push to be more creative.

Chase always has the sickest kit for his high-end productions..

I’ve occasionally used Phantom 7s, 9s and 12s through work, all rigged up with software and comms they push $180K each. That’s the cost 40,000fps!
