Going Behind The Scenes With Pantene and Natalie Coughlin

Follow Pantene Hair as they film Natalie Coughlin, eleven time Olympic medalist for USA Swimming (3 Gold, 4 Silver, and 4 Bronze) in their latest ad campaign featuring Olympic athletes for their Daily Moisture Renewal product line. Shot in two days in December of 2011 in Northern California and released in time for the 2012 Summer Olympics they use some impressive rigs and blue screens in this shoot.

I enjoyed the behind the scene video and resulting commercial. I just find the still image disturbing -there's something weirdly wrong with the body proportions and pose. 

 the head is to large..probably head swapped in post

i think it might be that her arms are stretched out behind her and in a still like this, one might see her as having small arms and hands stretched outward.  Plus the unnatural combination of her being totally dry while swimming....very strange indeed

i liked the bts video more than the actual commercial, ha!

I hate commercial photography for the simple fact it looks so artificial all the time. I miss the 70's-80's-90's where things had a more natural feel to them.

...and what the heck is Slash doing at the shoot at 1:16?

Not a fan of the interview, too... "all about pantene cheezyness" but the shoot was awesome
