Nikon D610 / Canon 6D / Sony A7 Giveaway Winner

Nikon D610 / Canon 6D / Sony A7 Giveaway Winner

Thanks to our friends at Photography Life, we have recently organized a Nikon D610 / Canon 6D / Sony A7 Giveaway, which ended on the Christmas day. After the list of participants was cleaned up and a bunch of entries were disqualified (fake email accounts from mail services like yahoo.de, inbox.ru and mail.ru, plus newly created Facebook accounts), we were left with a total of 33523 entries (Facebook and non-Facebook participants combined). Well, it is now time to announce the lucky winner, who gets to pick his favorite camera. Random.org picked a number for us and it is...

Fstoppers PL Winner

Entry #1732, which happens to be Christopher Lazarro (see his Facebook page). We have already exchanged some emails with Chris earlier today and it looks like his choice is the Canon 6D. He told us that he really wanted to buy the 6D over the holidays, so he is very excited to win one. Congratulations Chris! You will be receiving your prize from us very soon.

Big thanks to everyone for participating in this giveaway. Happy Holidays!

Congrats duder!

Well Done Chris!

There is something pretty wrong with the statements "... a bunch of entries were disqualified (fake email accounts from mail
services like yahoo.de, inbox.ru and mail.ru, plus newly created
Facebook accounts)"
So, you are suggesting that if somebody got a @yahoo.de or mail.ru email it is a fake email account, then disqualified? (yahoo.de and mail.ru are 100% legit email addresses)
The same to, if somebody that was not a Facebook user decided that entering this contest was the right time to finally create a Facebook account and participate... you considered this a fake account so you disqualified them?
The disqualification criteria is pretty much wrong.

They said "fake email accounts from mail services like..." not that they banned all email from those domains, just the fake ones.

Congrats! FYI... "yahoo.de" is a German yahoo email account.

congrats Christopher!

congrats!
