Fashion and Beauty Photography By Elena Jasic

About two months ago I was invited into a photography group on Facebook called CREATIVOS. I’m actually not sure how I got an invite, because the group is bursting with young talent, and while they all are wonderful, Elena Jasic‘s work immediately stood out to me. Everything about her work, from her shoot concepts to her use of lighting and gels, and down to her retouching, it all blows me away every time I see something new from her. I have an infatuation with fashion and beauty photography, that’s for certain, and Elena’s work is just gorgeous! Also be sure to check out the behind the scenes video from one of her shoots.

Elena was born in Croatia, and moved to the United States at the age of 10. She currently resides in Philadelphia, PA and is 24 years old. She has been shooting photos as far back as she can remember. When she was young her mom taught her the basic rules of composition, and she’s been running wild since. In 2005 she was gifted her first DSLR, and as she grew older and it came time to think careers, it was a no brainer for her. She started diving more into fashion photography because it was the only real outlet where she felt she could truly express herself, and she tends to find her self drawn more to the darker side of fashion photography. “The more unusual the better,” she says. Completely self taught and highly motivated, I am excited to see where her career goes in the coming years.
