The Fstoppers FlashDisc Is Almost Completely Sold Out

I want to thank everyone who has already purchased the Fstoppers FlashDisc. You have helped make our first ever physical product the number 1 selling flash modifier on Amazon.com. That being said, I wanted to give everyone a fair warning that we only have a few days of inventory left. Once they sell out, it may be months until our next shipment.
If you have been following our progress you know that we ordered 1000 units and sold them in packs of 3 as a "test" over a year ago. We personally packed and mailed every single box ourselves. It took over 9 months for us to get our first real order of 5000 units from China and up for sale on Amazon. B&H has recently started buying bulk shipments from us as well and at this point we are down to just 408 units left. We have been averaging about 45 units sold per day which means that we have about 9 days left of inventory.

We have ordered another shipment of 5000 units from China but we have no idea when it will arrive. 2000 units from this shipment will be going to Amazon UK which will ship directly to all EU countries. We don't know how long this last shipment will take; it may be a month, it may be 6 months. If you want one now before we sell out, you currently have two options.

If you live in the US you can buy the FlashDisc through Amazon and get free 2-day shipping for Prime members.

If you live outside of the country you can buy the FlashDisc through B&H if you are willing to pay the shipping costs.

Love mine. Got them from BH.

glad you're liking it!

Just ordered one a few days ago and waiting on the shipment. Can't wait!

The one I received was crooked and the 'center' thicker part was off to the side so only partially prevented hot spot... I really like the idea of these, but i think a bad unit may have slipped through... ?

Yea ir sounds like you got a defective copy. Just return it to BH or Amazon and they will send you a replacement. Sorry about that

Just tried, got it October 21st from Amazon, so i just missed the return deadline. I guess I would have returned it sooner, but I figured they were probably all kinda wonky because of the material. :(

Email us and I'll see about fixing the problem. sounds like you got one that slipped past quality check

Live in Sweden and got one couple of months ago . Love it.

This question is for Lee or Patrick….. This product really looks nice, and I'm looking to purchase probably two of them. The thing is how would this mount if attached to the flash and I want to shoot in portrait mode (vertical) with the speedlite still attached to the camera. With the new Lumiquest and Gary Fongs, I can simply twist the speedlite at 180 degrees and turn it upwards (in order to keep the flash above the lens…) How would this work like so? Can it work like so? In the videos, I see that all of the photographers use an "off camera speedlite" method, putting the flash in their other hand. Unfortunately, I do not want to walk around a wedding or event most of the night with my both my hands full (flash in one hand / camera in the other). Would really love some advice….. THANKS!

Tha material is elastic and the flash can be tuned 90deg, makes it lumpier, but would be fine. The movement of the disc is almost negligible though. Here is a photo of the disc at 90deg and also up (keep in mind my flash disc's components are attached crooked and do not align with each other, but I have not heard of anyone else with this problem). Sorry the pictures are so crappy, i couldn't use my flash disc to take them (lol)

A shorter flash would not allow this movement though, you would be better off with a swiveling hot shoe bracket, in both cases, for faster conversion.

EXACTLY what I was looking for, Scott..... THANKS!

It's funny Mark, we never intended these to be placed on camera and used as direct flash like the modifiers you mentioned. We originally made this strictly for off camera flash and as more portable small softbox.

We have seen a lot of people using them mounted to their on camera flash and getting interesting results. I'm not saying you can't mount them like Scott shows below but that was never our intention.

i have not yet tried it on camera (except of course to show mark it was possible), but maybe for a macro situation it could be useful?

I have been using mine solely on camera since I got it. Using it as a fill for natural light shoots.

Bought three, very happy with the quality and results.

I finally got to use mine a few times for some family shoots. It's awesome!!

49$ for the product and 120$ for delivery! Awesome!

You must be out of the reach of Amazon's US store. Don't worry we have inventory coming to Amazon.uk for most of the EU and we are working on distribution to other parts of the world too

Can't wait! ;) Thanks ;)

Any news on a date for UK yet mate as it will cost to much for me to pay for shipping as well i would like to get 2 ?

Just got our VAT certification. Should have them in the Amazon.uk store by the end of the month.

Is there any chance that I could get an email when there in so as not to miss out mate

I just ordered my second one. Great little softbox. My only question is, folding it and storing it into the case causes wrinkles, would that affect the quality of the flash being projected outward.

My wife got me one for Christmas, I love it!

Just received my Amazon shipment of two, and looking forward to trying them out!
