All it does is show you the result. The CamRanger allows you to make adjustments wirelessly and view it while you are making them. You would need to keep taking shots when using the Eye-Fi and, given how long it takes to download each shot, might eat up your client’s time. For hobbyists, the Eye-Fi solution is more affordable but the time saved with the CamRanger may make it a better value if you have the cash since adjustments can be made through the iPad.

You can only view the results of photos you have taken. The author of the article points out that the advantage of viewing adjustments live is what is saving him time.

The only solution seemed to be a 7″ LCD screen with HDMI input and a Canon battery plate at a cost of around $300. But then I would only have a view of what my camera is seeing and would still need to go back and forth to pull focus etc. With the CamRanger it eliminates all my problems, so I will go out and buy one tomorrow.

I used it recently for some bridal get ready pics and the bridesmaids had my ipad,
and were bragging how cool this was and they loved seeing all he shots as they were taken!

The D800, for example, is footnoted as having the LCD Display go off when using this product.

It would be the same as somebody would use your photos, selling them and not asking for your permission or license.

Please respect the creative work of a programmer like you probably wanna your creaitve work being respected as a photographer!!

Sorry for my poor english, but I think you can get the point!?
