EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM

EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM

What We Like

This is a special use, super wide angle fisheye lens for full frame Canon cameras and is unlike the 14mm f/2.8L where straight lines stay straight. This is not a “Get it all in” lens, this is a shove your viewers nose in it lens that 90% of the time isn’t necessary, but when it is, this lens excels at it.

What We Like:

Focal Length: At 8mm this camera has a field of view of 180 degrees which is incredible.

Sharp: Stopped down this camera is very sharp.

What We Don’t:

Focal Length: While 8mm is incredible, it does pose a bit of a problem with composition. If you’re pointing towards the sun, it’s probably going to be in the frame, and if you’re pointed away from the sun, there will probably be your shadow in the frame.

Lack Of Filter: The front element bulges out so far that it isn’t possible to put a filter on this lens.
