Lume Cube - World's First 1,500 Lumen External Flash for iPhone/GoPro

Shooting for the majority of my career with nothing more than an iPhone and various mobile devices, it's a struggle to find that same look and feel of high-end flash photography without going to my DSLR and speedlights. Enter a new addition to the world of mobile photography with Lume Cube. A powerful compact flash alternative that reaches 1,500 lumen and can fire up to five at once with one touch of a mobile app.

The guys at Lume Cube have launched an incredibly versatile product on Kickstarter today with the simple question, “Why can’t we use these devices as we would our professional camera equipment?" Created to attract photographers, videographers, and iPhoneographers, it's easy to see the innovaton and direction these guys wanted to go with for their product. Having the control to connect up to five lights at once with the smartphone app, for both iOS and Android, it's possible to edit things like brightness duration and choose flash or video modes giving you the creative freedom to do what you want it to do.

Check out the video and sample images below to get an even more in-depth look at the project and how photographers and videographers have used the Lume Cube to push the limits of mobile photography!

Be sure to check out more about Lume Cube on Kickstarter as they push to reach their goal of $56,000!

I saw Lume Cubes at PhotoPlus in New York and they're awesome! I bought the dual pack from Kickstarter, they're so small I'm going to bring them everywhere.
