Nikon D7000

Nikon D7000

Who It's For:

The Nikon D7000 is Nikon’s replacement for the D90 and the current midrange DSLR in the Nikon line. This is a powerful camera in a small body at a very good price so whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned pro in need of a back up, this is a very good option.

What We Like:

Speed: At 6fps, this camera is very fast for its class

Quiet Mode: This is invaluable for wedding and event photographers who are trying not to disturb an event while they are shooting.

Dual SD Slots

100% Viewfinder

What We Don't:

Weight: The D7000 is a fairly small camera but because of the magnesium alloy body, it’s rather heavy.

Video Auto Focus: The D7000 has this feature, but it spends quite a lot of time hunting and has difficulty keeping up with moving subjects.

Continuous Burst Shooting Buffer: While the camera can shoot a very fast 6fps, it cannot shoot at this speed for very long due to a small buffer.
