Removu R1: A Wireless Wearable Remote and Live View Solution for GoPros

With the Removu R1, you can check the scene a GoPro is capturing wirelessly. No matter what kind of risk you're taking, the remote and live view screen will allow you to fully control the camera while in action. This is a must have accessory if you're tired of draining your phone battery or need a hands-free solution to view and control your GoPro.

I found that the Removu is simple to use with 3 buttons. It's equipped with a high resolution, high intensity (400cd), 2.0" QVGA(320 X 240 pixels) display and it comes with a Velcro wrist strap, making it wearable when your hands are occupied with riding a bike, a skateboard or the like. The Removu is currently in stock with a low price tag of $119.

When comparing the Removu to a phone, the benefits are obvious. The GoPro app in live view drains the battery on a phone and it isn’t exactly a hands-free experience when skiing. This alone was a selling point for me. It took me about a minute and a half to unbox, setup and strap it to my wrist. It comes with a micro USB cable to charge it and the battery lasts for up to 3 hours. Best of all it retails for $119. The firmware update with 4k will be available mid December.

What I love about this product is the fact that it's simple to control a GoPro while viewing your screen wirelessly and hands free. Strap it to your wrist, turn it on, navigate your menu and options and quickly record/stop whatever it is you are doing. The item is lightweight but feels durable. It's water resistant and dust proof but not waterproof. While it's not good for swimming, it can easily be used for jet skiing and biking in the mud. The only down side was a slight lag which was a little annoying but compared to my Android LG G3 it was identical. That is a casualty of any device that streams live wirelessly. The screen resolution is identical in size and quality to the screen on GoPro's Bacpac. Take note that you cannot play back any files with this device. While that was a let down for me, it's not what this device is meant for.

Bottom line is, it serves a great little niche, does exactly what it's meant to and has a low price tag.

Removu is currently working on the world’s first device to turn your LCD BacPac into a wearable live viewer + Remote for GoPro Hero 3, 3+ and Hero 4. This will not only let you use the touch screen bacpac but also allow you to play back footage and pictures. The product is on Indiegogo with a few spots left for the early bird special of $59.

This product sounds excellent. But i still have a question. Did I read a review or an advertise ? At lest i didn't find word like "ultimate" or "amazing" in the title ;)

Really really don't want to be rude here but, i seriously think people would liek to read your opinion about it !

So it's finally like the Sony ActionCam :)
