Tamron Releases Pricing of New 90mm f/2.8 Macro and 70-200mm f/2.8 Lenses

Tamron's updated 90mm f/2.8 1:1 macro lens that was announced at Photokina got a price tag today, and will ship on November 30 of this year. You can get this new lens for a pretty low $850, which is great considering the prices that Canon and Nikon can ask for their branded lenses. Tamron also released the pricing for their new 70-200mm f/2.8 lens released at the same time for $1500. If these lenses are sharp, they would be fantastic for a wide range of uses. We're excited to try them out, and we'll let you know what we think.

The nikon 105 VR macro is only 40$ more than the Tamron...

Who would buy tamron over Nikon for 40$???

people who care about quality not price?

i can´t say yet.... as i have not seen tests... but don´t you think image quality is a factor beside price?

B&H has the Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro on sale for $899.00 at the moment. Definitely worth the extra money for the L glass.

and you can say that without having seen any test? ... great!

i would play LOTTO if i were you!!  :-)

@google-e9340c0b97f9071212577fb217b4b438:disqus  you just read my mind, I just bought a basically brand new nikon 105mm for 799 and im not regretting it one bit

Used Canon 100L Macros go for $750-$850 everyday. I'd take a used L over a new (and more expensive) Tamron any day of the week!

tamrons IS is awesome as the latest reviews show.  better then canons.

if this lens is even sharper then the old 90mm version i think it could be better then the canon 100mm L macro.

Waiting for the video review dude. Also please compare with the latest sigma 70-200mm :-)

I'm seriously considering buying one of these 70-200 lenses and replace my older Canon 70-200 Mk1. I would love to buy the Mk2 version but it's a bit pricey. If this Tamron proves to be sharp then I am sold. The VR is excellent! Looking forward to some tests :)

I cant wait until you guys do a review on them!!!
