I think it is a fantastic camera.  I also own the d4, and i love it. But the video on the D4 is ONLY usable in the 2.7x crop mode at 1080. It is a TERRIBLE video dslr until they hopefully fix this in firmware updates. everything other than the settings i just told you are soft and terrible, The d800 has great video in all 1080 modes, but bad aliasing at 720.
