My name is Jaron, and I’m a chef and food photographer based out of the Bay Area, California. I’ve been shooting for the better part of 10 years, but I always know there will be new things to learn and ways to improve. After graduating from Gonzaga University with a degree in marketing, I spent some time in the photographic lighting business. I learned how the industry works, what products are actually high quality and worth your money, and how to communicate with photographers and videographers around the world. I specialize in interactive medias and business-to-business relations as well as food and food photography.

I have always been a fan of the Fstoppers mission, and have loved what this site offers to the world. I met Lee and Patrick early in 2011 in Las Vegas at WPPI, and in October of that year they asked me to join their team. I hope what I bring helps make this a stronger community of photographers all aimed at improving their skills and helping others find the way.
