San Diego Fireworks Snafu Results in Unintentional Art

UPDATED: More added!
Last night, as you may have already heard, some miscalculation/technical difficulties with the San Diego fireworks show resulted 9 seconds of explosive madness, compressing into a few short moments what was supposed to be an 18 minute show. Now we get to actually see what many of us have always wondered: what would it look like to set all the fireworks off at once?

For those of you who scoff at those who like to photograph fireworks, perhaps this time we should be happy these folks were prepared. We managed to find a few choice shots scattered around the internet (click each to see the source). Check em out:

Just got back from Florida to downtown SD and was asleep before this happened!
Finders keepers, loosers weepers!

There's a YouTube video showing it as well. I have ALWAYS wanted to see this happen. So happy. :)

I caught a few shots I think are pretty good, check them out on flickr and feel free to use in this article if you like them:

hmm, perhaps I should just attach the photograph.  Here you go.  Heard the explosions and ran outside with my d700 and Tokina 28-80 f/2.8 - 1/60, f/5.6, ISO 400.  Literally had time to get 2 frames before it was over!

Love that Tokina lens :)

Once in a lifetime experience, I guess.  Here's what I got vv

Didn't attach the first time

I don't think that I couldn't shot a roll of film that fast! If I knew that they were going to snafu it, then I definitely would've used my motor drive.

Here's my take on the BBBB Snafu. All I got after getting my camera out of my car... -_-
