I think the most successful element of this photo has nothing to do with equipment. That is the beautiful use of color. The saturated warms against the slightly muted cool background is just beautiful. I also think the way the blue reflects/refracts in the bottom of the glass to define the bottom of the filled area is great.

You seem to have good taste, so I assume you are aware of what you would change, but I think those two things really are just about perfect.

This one is perfect, imho of course.Same kind of a photo, but i guess the lighting is a bit different and the result is better.
