I just spent ten or twenty minutes researching it and from what I’ve been able to find, breath has a pH of roughly 7 – 8 which puts it in the neutral portion of the pH scale.

So until someone from canon tells us otherwise, its equally much  an issue for Canon shooters as it is not an issue for Nikon shooters. Nope, I’m still sticking to filters. It’s just too easy to take it off and wash it with good ol’ tap water.
