Oh of course you will be notified prior to the price hikes but if you are using the cloud for a year and then they raise the price, you are completely at their mercy. If you purchased the product, you can at least know your projected costs for software acquisition.

I think the cloud model makes more sense for individuals and much less sense for businesses that rely on these products.

Here’s a MUST READ article on what is behind the Cloud decision.

They learned how to really screw over their customers.
These idiots think everyone has an extra $50 in their
pockets every month. The good thing about the old
CS packages is that I could at least still use them even
if a new version came out. This way, they are like crack
dealers. No $$$ no Photoshop sucker.

Again, thank you Adobe for the screw!

Next time lube up.

I feel that it could hurt small companies or make employers choose to require employees to be responsible for paying for and maintaining their own independent Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions. A small company with 15 employees would have to shell out $750 a month or more to have 15 employees in the cloud. I don’t see that happening in a small company. I have no issue with having my own Creative Cloud subscription because I do fine artwork at home as well, but my colleges may object to forking over $50 a month. I feel this could create some conflicts in the future and even stifle small businesses even further. Then, I may be wrong. Only time will tell.

And they come ut with these ridiculous prices? But there are some tricks to not letting them get away with your money

pay for one month and then what the app will stop working? And besides
why would i wanna store my stuff on the cloud?
I have a fairly big
hard drive that holds everything for me. And also where i am living the
internet connection sucks so me paying $50 per month or $600 per year
will be a waste of time and money. I guess Adobe have not take into
consideration that not all the countries out there have fast internet
connection like most countries in North America. However i am currently
using CS6 and i guess i might have to make a switch and learn a new app,
which sucks!!!!!!! I have invested about 13 years using Adobe products
and now this i am depress now.

It is basically like increasing the prices of all products 3 fold.
ANd naturally our revenue don’t go up 3 times accordingly….

Apple has been doing it for a while too with some services.
Just make the math
MONTHLY CHARGES
70 Euros for Creative Cloud
20 Euros for the MS office suite
xx Euros for Apple Cloud storage Service
xx Euros for you hosting company
xx Euros for your Anti-Virus service
And so on and so on

The monthly bill is about to get insane for indy film makers and video creators …
It will create more revenue to the largest companies but will definitely make the smaller companies and one man companies much much poorer…
