These are not just photos of brides with tattoos. These are FABULOUS, FUNNY, CREATIVE, and EMOTIONAL wedding photos, of brides and grooms who happen to have tattoos.

This is really good photography, it holds up with or without the interesting subjects. The style that the photographer captures feels more human and identifiable than the unremarkable ”storybook, Cinderella” style we see from conventional wedding photography. I like the idea of playing to our strengths. Everybody needs that little something that separates them for the pack. Great article, great example.

I think you’re jumping to the presumptive conclusion that he doesn’t engage in other facets of photography or creative outlets as a whole.
You must have missed the part that said he used to be a musician but eventually found a higher calling in a completely different creative medium. I’d hardly call that pigeonholing oneself.

Actually Mike does not limit himself to just tattooed brides. But when a tattooed bride is looking for a photographer guess who makes the most sense to her? The answer is simple, Allebach Photography.

Limiting in he is only taking pictures of tattooed ”alt” weddings. I never said he wasn’t being creative or interesting. Just saying I choose not to pigeonhole myself into that one thing. (artist speaking there not businessperson)
