It is inspired by a sketch from Stephen Briggs, and based on Terry Pratchett's work (The New Discworld Companion, p.203 - "Gurnt the Stupid - A past king of Lancre. He had a plan for an aerial attack force of armoured ravens. It never got off the ground" ^^ )
