The one with the money on the table and the one on the stairs are my favorite. It’s well done, the lighting and direction and stuff. I definitely think it’s missing a tiny bit of grit or atmosphere, can’t quite put my finger on it. But over all they do have a nice look for being “inspired” by such things.

Thanks. I did read the title and the article and you can feel free to call ignorance but you’d be wrong. If you’re inspired by something, you can only go so far in inspiration before you start to lose the feel of what you’re inspired by. But I’ll have to call ignorance on your artist vision /sarcasm.

Well if you actually read the title or article, you would have understood that they were “inspired” by film noir. And I think the lighting is great, does capture the mood appropriately. I’ll just have to call ignorance on your last statement.

They look too clean and they look like someone tried to hard on the lighting. Its too modern. Theres no real tone to any of these images that says “film” at all. Just, well/over-lit portraiture run through camera RAW and turned to greyscale.
