The Best Deal On A Canon G12 Camera Plus A Free $400 Canon Printer

The Canon G12 camera is one of our favorite “point and shoots” because it has all the features a photographer would want: manual settings, shoots RAW, and has a hot shoe. Until they run out of inventory, BH Photo is giving a $400 rebate when you purchase the Canon G12 with Canon’s Flagship PixmaPRO 9000 MKII Printer. So this makes the printer free and knocks down the G12 to $307.50 which is $70 cheaper than anywhere else. Pretty awesome deal if you ask me!

Nice deal. But does it come with free ink? ‘Cuz you know, that’s where they get ya…

              • http://www.patrickhallphotography.com Patrick Hall

it comes with a free starter pack to get started. I have a Pro9000 that I paid retail for….so even if you bought the ink, you could fill it up about 4 times before you hit the price I paid.

400 rebate? NICE so how do i deposit that, credit card they call a rebate, into my bank account?
WHY NOT JUST TAKE 400 off the total price when buying them???? GAH!!!!
It pisses me off. “Give us 707 dollars and we’ll give you back 400 of that.”
Instead of just doing it simple and charging the price we’d end up paying after rebate…

They offer a rebate in credit card form because they know 70% of the people won’t ever complete it. I’ve never had a rebate fail me if I complete it….just take a photograph of everything right before you mail it out.

              • http://twitter.com/Justa_newbie Russ

nah, i aint giving away 707 bucks, and hoping i’ll get 400 back. I’ve been burned before I was told by the rebate company that proof doesn’t matter, because they had a policy that didn’t allow resubmitting the rebate etc.
                (staples/canon camera n printer rebate)
For those who do get the rebate, HELL YA it’s a great deal. But i aint risking it again.

Canon is very quick with their rebates. I did one of the similar ones for my 5D but to make sure it didn’t get “lost” I sent my rebate certified mail (it ~5 bucks). Anyone who is concerned about this should do their own due diligence and document the upc codes and forms and I would recommend going the certified mail route.
