              The Wednesday Rundown 11.16.11

rundown3 The Wednesday Rundown 11.16.11 Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. This weekend I had the chance to sneak into an old abandon mental hospital. It was pretty crazy how easy it was to simply open the door and enter. I didn’t even have to get by a fence to get into this place. I was inspired to find some photo shoots done in this type of environment. Enjoy! If you have a video that you think we might like to post, please click on “submit content” above.

              Urban Decay Fashion Shoot:
A group of photographers get the chance to shoot a model in an old WWII building around Syndey harbor. Check out there lighting setup and final images.

              Abandon Building Strobist:
Another fashion shoot at an abandon building location. The photographer has a nice lighting setup with some great models.

              Band Shoot:
John Ker show us how he does a band photo shoot and the results are good. John shots Chasing Mercury with a backdrop of old stero equipdment and lots of casset tapes. His final image is worth a look.

              Car Shoot:

Woods Photo shows us how they shoot a car in their garage. With some slick video slides and some quick shots Brendon and Dustin shoot the finer details on this Mitsubishi Evo.

Cool videos. I like how the Urban Decay video is informative by showing and not telling, which saves it from being a music video. I like that approach. And I love the concept and fun atmosphere John Ker set up for his shoot. Looked like a lot of fun.

Yeah sometimes I just want to see the setup not hear the approach.
