It&#039;s the cognitive dissonance caused by those two opposing viewpoints that makes it even more interesting.The one thing I would say is that the fast-moving objects, such as the birds on the lake, or leaves swaying in the wind, always distract me in timelapse movies. They don&#039;t look right. They break the illusion. They take away from the dignity of the timelapse. They are so obviously an artefact of the fact that the shutter speed is much below the interval between shots.
