[Video] An Open Letter To Canon, Stop The Lies!

I had a hunch but it has now been confirmed that Canon and Vincent Laforet have teamed up to trick the worlds consumers into buying new camera equipment. Apparently to use a camera properly you need to have talent and original ideas but Canon has failed to put either in the box with any of their cameras. Vincent Laforet has been caught using his own personal good ideas in conjunction with Canon cameras to produce a false reality. Until Canon begins to package talent AND creativity with their cameras, I call for a boycott!

Even Vincent, laughed at this and all this tight asses (like: @google-36fef5c562a2b33d0bea37858bdc24f9:disqus or @google-7a5b2273d57fba218c68b5870c58561e:disqus )  talk about “how this is an insult to their knowledge”

So really guys, don’t get your panties in a bunch.

@fstoppers keep posting videos like this, creativity comes not only from what we learn, but also from cracking a smile every now and then.

Hey Jim, don’t take it personally, but you might find this period of the year difficult to get through if that’s porn, considering all the annual calendars coming out, Pirelli, Aubade, Vogue, GQ, Mens Health, Playboy, FarmGirls, Ski Instructor girls, FootballGirls and so on. I would recommend disconnecting from the Web… it’s an unsafe place, with strange people :(

Let’s just take it for what it is, a BTS, and many BTS with models have some T&A in it, it’s a body in underwear or swimwear… don’t recall seeing anything more than we might see by a pool in mid summer in europe. :)

I like how he can’t focus properly, just like its hard on canon cameras without a pull focus or a focus ring.

To those whom get the satire, I find this hilarious, and will continue to laugh with you! This video is so good and relates to most of us during our very start in the HDSLR field.

To those whom are offended by satire. Well, you’re just one of those people who didn’t quite get an A-C grade in 11th grade english.

Have you not read Huckleberry Finn? Do you not understand the basis behind a satirical video?

The whole reason behind this video is telling those who are new to HDSLR film making, that it’s not as easy as going out and buying an EX1 and being a champ.

HDSLR film making is a very in depth game. It derives from the true game of film making where we don’t just have on camera that does it all. (As aforementioned the EX1.) (But the EX1 doesn’t do everything.) (But it’s damn beautiful.)

When you jump into the HDSLR game, you’re talking about learning..

-Depth of Field and Aperture and how that effects the picture.
                -ISO
-The MM’s of lenses and how that measures width
-Crop factors. (Which applies to the above statement)
                -How fast lenses are
-What different bodies will do for you
-What equipment will help you the best in the field
                -Etc.

The list goes on, and on, and on.

I really loved the focus pulling bit mixed with the fact it’s shot at f/1.4 (Or so). Because that’s been the most fun thing to work with, especially without the aid of an FF.

                To sum it up.

You aren’t going to create the worlds best content as soon as you grab a DSLR and a lens. Because it’s going to require a lot more time, effort, and equipment than that. Your first lens is just the start.

That’s what this video is poking at.

God, I love when he talked about dreams of making porn, I’m still cracking up.

Well I for one say about time, this needed to be said. I recently experienced a similar problem with  new oven I bought. It did not produce Michelin star quality dinners. To say I was a little disappointed is an understatement.

If “prosumer” is better than you, why shouldn’t he take your job? :D If you are better, you have nothing to worry about ;)
