I'm sure if you're reading this you are a Game of Thrones fan just like me! Spin VFX has put together an amazing peek behind the visual wizardry that they do for the HBO series. Sometimes you will see some poor visual effects take you out of the experience, but this video is a study in how to do it right. In this day and age when the viewer has acclimated to the use of VFX, it can become harder and harder for VFX companies to really fool the viewer. Even though we know that some of the visuals we experience cannot possibly be real, the level of precision and detail allows us to accept them as part of that world. I'm glad to see some seamless that makes it look so believable.

had no idea how much green screen is used in the professional world . the gatsby vfx tape was so revealing ... much respect for actors

Well both. I can't imagine how hard it is to act looking at a sea of green. Half the time I'm not even sure if I'm smiling enough when I'm talking to someone. But yes, chroma keying and rotoscoping aren't the epitome of fun.
This spoils the magic for me, GoT is REAL! :P
