[News] Photoshop Touch Now Available for iPad 2

Adobe has finally let iPad 2 users in on Photoshop Touch (Android tablet users have had this for some time now). Having impulse buy issues I just dropped the $9.99 that it costs for the app but being so excited to share the news, I've yet to review it. Some of the highlights Adobe is boasting are: being able to work with core Photoshop tools designed for tablets, using your tablet camera to fill area on layers, select parts of an image to extract by scribbling, and being able to sync files to Adobe Creative Cloud and open in Photoshop.

"What is Adobe Photoshop Touch?
The new Adobe® Photoshop® Touch app lets you quickly combine images, apply professional effects, share the results with friends and family through social networking sites like Facebook, and more — all from the convenience of your iPad or Android tablet."

Stan Horaczek over at PopPhotos has had his hand on it for weeks and gives his thoughts on it here.

Not quite sure about this - maybe a toy or maybe something of use.  I have my doubts that this would be effective for anything of value except some fun.  I use three ipad 2 to run my business and have yet to find anything that i would even spend some time on that would even come close to Photoshop or Lightroom/Aperture.

Like getting excited about a new pen or brush set for artistry on a grain of rice.

At $9.99 it is a cheap enough toy. With my eyes even my 13" MBP is too small for real editing, any more I need a 23" or larger monitor. But that said it could be fun to play with.

I agree, not a tool for the serious pro's. Look's like it's fun to play with but there are other photo manipulations toys that will give you cool effects like (Instagram) more instantly than Photoshop iPad.

And Android, why does every report omit that?

Sad that it won't work on my 1st gen ipad.
