The Wednesday Rundown 1.4.12

Howdy and welcome to the Wednesday Rundown. Another year has come and gone. Hopefully this year you will get out and shoot more. Gets some inspiration and ideas with Joel as he walks us through his cover shoot for the Fstoppers BTS contest. If you have a video that you think we might like to post, please click on "submit content" above.

Cover Shoot:

Joel Dryer lays down some education on lighting and some pure goofiness. I don't mind saying that because I can tell he was aiming for both. However Joel does a great job showing us how he setup his lighting for his Fstoppers Contest video. Check it out.

Swimwear Shoot:

Brandon turns this Tennessee water fall into a tropical forest. With a great water fall and lush greens Brandon shows us how he lights this shoot with a speedlight and an umbrella, and a little help from the sun.

Inspiring Shoot:

Some times BTS videos don't show much info on how they are shot. They are not worthless to us at all, this video shows what inspired the shoot and well a nice car at the end. Watch the video and see what pops in your mind.

thanks for the additional links!

I do indeed like Joel's video. He was excited about it.

Joel Dryer is WEIRD.

Joel Dryer should know that speaking to a camera at 45 degrees is really awkward. The guy has energy though

I'm glad I'm not the only one using ankle weights as sandbags...they go on sale at walmart quite often

Wow! I am a little behind on the posting, but I was so excited to see that we made it on the Wednesday Rundown! We had such a blast making the video. I hope it was helpful source of info wrapped up in a light-hearted shell of tasty goodness. We thought that since we were making an in-depth/technical video, why not make it fun and entertaining?

Sure do appreciate everyone at Fstoppers. You probably hear it all the time but, thanks for all you do for the photography community. Take care!
