              win $570 in lowepro gear
              win $570 in lowepro gear
              December 20, 2012
              Jaron Schneider

We’re Giving One Winner $570 In Lowepro Bags

We were talking with our good friends over at Lowepro, and decided to sneak in one more contest before Christmas. We’re giving away Pro Roller Lite 150 AW, Pro Messenger 160 AW and a Lens Exchange 200 AW to one Fstoppers reader who needs them dearly. That’s $570 worth of gear! Basically, we wanted to have you covered in any situation you might come across in the world of photography. To win, you just have to show us how bad your bag situation really is.

I’m certain that there are thousands of you who just have the most abysmal bag situation. Toting your camera gear around in a high school backpack, rucksack or even a grocery store paper bag (I actually really hope that last one isn’t true). That said, we want to help remedy the situation for one of you.

Show us just how bad your bag situation is in one picture. Submit your image by attaching it to the comments below (or linking to it to a hosting service of your choice; we recommend Photobucket or DropBox). Tomorrow afternoon (Friday December 21) we will pick a winner based on the person we think is in the most dire need.

Who can win? Anyone in the United States and Canada.
How do you win? Attach a photo of your bag situation in the comments below (You can also link to them in the comments if you’re having trouble uploading an image).
How long do you have? Until the end of the day tomorrow, December 21.

The photo doesn’t have to be your best shot, just one that gets your situation across. Good luck!

I study fine arts and photography at the college and often time I have to carry my camera and a good piece of a glass with me but most of the time when I am going to a photoshoot, I have to carry all of my equipment which includes two Canon bodies with three lenses along with the reflectors and this will cause my equipment to get damaged easily and its really heavy and hard to carry everything in one bag while going to different classes but I have no other choice because I had to spend all my money on a good quality L lens.
                Thanks

I loves me my Lowepro BUT I’ve had to fix the zip compartment with velcro and now the outer zip has broken. Worse yet, I’ve run out of space as the other camera body and lens are not in the pic.

Tamron bag that I am not proud of and video bag for my large lens.  My camera is stuffed in a beanie in usually another random backpack. Not always fun to lug equipment around.

Can’t even post my bag’s image, it was lost at BWI airport last week with two bodies inside it.. :’(

I am actually using a real backpack with tape on it to hold the straps, the front zipper compartments don’t zip and I am using a small case from Walmart to protect my camera and pack all my gear in and around that and all the other pockets…

I have so much stuff I carry two bags with me, even on wedding day. My second took this photo of me over the summer. Help me look professional!  And yes the bride did give me her veil and I didn’t want to drop it so in the hair it went. She loved it!

I have an old hand me down Lowepro bag that I got from my dad a few years ago. Both zippers are broken and all the padded inserts were gone so I have to carry it in my arms instead of on my back, and I’ve been wrapping my lenses in my wife’s old t-shirts and pillowcases. I NEED a new bag, PLEASE!

Can hardly fit in more than the camera with one lens attached.

These bags are tough and can take a beating. Here is my bag with a little modification I did last summer because the wheels locked up and started to break apart. Good luck to everyone with their career in the new year!

              • http://www.facebook.com/AreaKPhotos Sonny Kumukoa Monioz

Surprisingly I can fit most of this in the two bags after extreme organization.  The problem is I still can’t fit a lot of items that I’d love to be able to take to a shoot without risking damage.  The Canon Bag is my main one and is only good for up to an hour.  If you’ve used this bag, you know what I mean. (Digs into your spine if you have more than 1 body and lens)  The other is my Lowepro, which I love but just can’t fit more than a couple items.  Finally, the plastic container is unfortunately what I use on a daily basis for lenses and odd and ends.  I used to have a bigger bag but the wheels got worn off after a couple of years use.

I’m the program director of the Paikea Productions after school film program for kids ages 9-15, and the students in our program have just been using their school backpacks to transport the program’s camera equipment. We have a limited budget to purchase equipment, and we virtualy have none for camera bags and cases. We take the kids out on field trips for shooting demos and projects, and it would be nice if we can transport the equipment all in one bag or case, rather than in several school backpacks. The kids use entry level Canon dslrs as well as point and shoots. If you would like to check out our program, you can visit it at http://www.paikeaproductions.com. Hopefully you guys can help out!

Mine works pretty well… for sure the best solution I’ve found to make sure I always have fresh batteries on hand… but the protection is only so-so, and getting the 300mm out can be a real pain… I’ve lost numerous shot opportunities due to this, and would love to upgrade. Thanks for considering.

I have a patagonia packpack. It holds the grunt of my daily loadout, but having the stuff bounce around is not good. I broke one screen protector and two lens hoods so far. I had lowepro stuff on my list for Christmas last year, but it was a bit too expensive for anyone in my family. So this is what I have worked with for too long. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.

still using the canon camera bag that came with the first little rebel I bought when I was 16… have two bodies and 3 lenses and other video gear stuffed in my little bag then I carry my laptop and other essentials in just any backpack….

I think that’s too big for me, and a little expensive :) by the way, what do you think about SlingShot 102 or 202? which one is easier to take the camera out, Fastpack or SlingShot?

Having a new baby and all the expenses with that, I haven’t gotten around to getting a new bag. In the meantime, my diaper/camera bag is a free messenger bag I received years ago. One NEX is in the $5 “Sony” bag, the beercan gets wrapped in cloth diapers, the other NEX in the neoprene, and the pancake fits inside the pacifier case but doesn’t really have padding. Those are diapers sticking out of the front pocket, and bottles/formula/water in the rear pocket. From looking at messenger bags, the 160 would be quite ideal for this setup, and then I could use the other bags with full DSLR setup. Help me out!

First, thank you for the opportunity to win great Lowepro bags! Second, (if I don’t win) congrats to the winner! :)
The first photo shows the bag I currently carry with my camera, attached lens and an extra lens, the second shows more detail and the third shows some of the extras that I throw over my shoulder when needed. The red bag is a “reusable” bag from Trader Joes that I carry fabrics, clips, and other accessories in, along with my laptop if that needs to come along.

              • Loralee Joy

Oops! I was only supposed to attach one photo. The second photo shows what is in the bag, although you can’t see the cards in one of the side pockets and the extra lens that lays under the camera in a slip case.
