              winner of lowepro bag contest
              December 31, 2012
              Jaron Schneider

Winner of the Lowepro $570 in Bags Contest

Sorry for the delay (holiday season tends to do that, as you can probably understand), but we are ready to announce the winner of the Lowepro Bag giveaway! We saw a lot of hopeless, sad and some of them downright confusing, entries to this contest, and judging it was a tough call. We’re going to show you a few of our favorites, but to pick a winner Lowepro chose to select someone who made the most out of their bag-less situation.

First, let’s take a look at some of our favorite entries. These photographers are struggling, all of them without a real bag to carry their equipment in. Honestly guys, your stuff is going to get pretty banged up in grocery bags, orange boxes, and really? A pillowcase?

              David Curdele

              Dean Kalyan

              JF Cloutier
JF Cloutier Winner of the Lowepro $570 in Bags Contest
              Rhys Lake
Rhys Lake Winner of the Lowepro $570 in Bags Contest
              Richard Johnson
Richard Johnson Winner of the Lowepro $570 in Bags Contest
              Wayne Picker
Wayne Picker Winner of the Lowepro $570 in Bags Contest

There were a lot of situations like the ones above, so to break the tie Lowepro decided to give the bags to someone who may not have had a real way to transport their equipment, but they sure as heck made the most of what they had.

              Winner: Jason Rineer
Jason Rineer Winner of the Lowepro $570 in Bags Contest

Lowepro was impressed with the custom dividers Jason built for his cardboard box. It’s actually a pretty nifty setup, but it’s not what we would call “all weather.” Jason, you just won yourself a Lowepro prize pack worth $570! To claim your prize, send me an email at jaron@fstoppers.com.

Congrats to Jason, and thank you all for entering! Want the chance to win more cool photo stuff? Keep checking back here for more awesome contests as we ring in 2013!

this comment  is so true “:”Honestly guys, your stuff is going to get pretty banged up in grocery bags”"

If only we had some kind storage, like some kind of LOWEPRO BAG or something to keep our gear in…
maybe we bag users should come up with a divider system, for our plastic bags…you know to impress the lowepro people in contests…
ah well, anyways, grats to Jason for winning.

i find it hard to believe someone who can afford sandisk extreme3 cards, two 580exIIs, pocket wizards,  what looks to be a 50 1.4, 10-22, 28-135 would carry it all around in a box….I on the other hand use a 30yr old CPC bag that the zippers are frozen from corrosion, velcro worn out and don’t stick, no shoulder pad and missing dividers…wish I coulda sent in my pic but the deadline was too quick!

WOW! Thanks FStoppers and Lowepro! Completely unexpected! To be honest, I am a bit shocked right now. Thank you so much, I will be emailing you all shortly.
