Combining Aerial Landscape Photography with Video for Captivating Results

Freelance motion graphics designer and London-based art director T Tagholm created this mesmerizing piece with the help of After Effects. I honestly can say what it is about this video that caught my eye but I found myself transfixed in a way that was reminiscent of the time I watched Koyaanisqatsi (the second time, not the first time when I fell asleep). The undeniably hypnotic 'simulacra' is part of a larger project that is still in the works but in the meantime you can check out T Tagholm earlier released piece, 'Plain Sight'.

A simulacra of nature:

Today abstraction is no longer that of the map, the double, the mirror, or the concept. Simulation is no longer that of a territory, a referential being, or a substance. It is the generation by models of a real without origin or reality: a hyperreal. The territory no longer precedes the map , nor does it survive it. It is nevertheless the map that precedes the territory - procession of simulacra - that engenders the territory, and if one must return to the fable, today it is the territory whose shreds slowly rot across the extent of the map. It is the real, and not the map, whose vestiges persist here and there in the deserts that are no longer those of the Empire, but ours. The desert of the real itself.

not impressed at all. its a really simple technique, and the video is from video blocks, its utitlising a simple piece of software not impressed at all and the typical arty statement about it, load of crap.

I like it ... Good idea

to prove how quickly you can do it, done this in twenty minutes, using two pieces of software, with a bit longer can finesse it, really really easy, just put some epic music, and a pretentious paragraph and woah suddenly you are an artist. You guys are being conned. https://youtu.be/pdaba-iBKDU

got bored done another one https://youtu.be/1UfyUg2Fj8c

Ass.....Hole

I think the point is having the idea and do it, these kind of comments are not only easy, but cheap.

You're an idiot. I can't believe you wasted your time creating what you perceive to be as an equal job just to slay someone else work. Bravo for him getting featured, you're just a shit with shitty work and a bad jealous attitude. I took a quick look at your work and ain't a damn thing about what I saw that was particularly hard OR artsy. Shut the hell up nobody cares if you are impressed. Just because you simply having something to say doesn't constitute something worth hearing.

Thank you, you are saying nothing, and saying it too loud. But thank you for your kind words, really appreciated. Glad you like my work, and I feel the warmth of your love.

Ok, so tell us what it is then.
