Go Behind the Scenes With the Photographer of the Royal Wedding

I can't think of a more high-pressure job than photographing the royal wedding, but Alexi Lubomirski took the challenge and delivered in spades. This neat interview sees him detail the 25 minutes he had to capture six portraits and the challenges he faced during that time.

Imagine having 25 minutes to capture six different shots, including the royal family portrait, which itself included 10 children. Such was the challenge Alexi Lubomirski faced last Saturday, where he was so zoned in that he didn't even check his camera's screen after taking photos, instead relying on his assistants to intervene if anything needed to be corrected. He sat down with CBS News recently, where he detailed how he used a combination of planning and improvisation for the shots, using a natural, unplanned moment for the portrait of the Duke and Duchess on the East Terrace of Windsor Castle and a more formal approach for the full family portrait (though he still wisely asked the children about candy to get them to pay attention and smile). Click on the video below for the full interview.

Lubomirski took to his Instagram afterward, calling the experience an "incredible honor and privilege" and "a beautiful chapter in my career and life, that I will happily never forget."

In all honesty it couldn't have gone to a better human. Alexi is just an amazing artist and human all round.
I wonder if Mario was available :P

I think Mario is on a bit of a long term "break"
