How a Photographer Runs His Business

Running a successful photography business that brings in sufficient income takes a lot more than simply being good with a camera and knowing how to light a shot. This excellent video tutorial features an experienced professional discussing how he runs his business and offering some helpful insight.

Coming to you from Scott Choucino of Tin House Studio, this great video tutorial features him discussing how he runs his photography business. The unfortunate truth is that many talented photographers fail to find success professionally because they make the critical mistake of creative talent with business success. In reality, many of the most professionally successful photographers might not be world-class creatives, but they are all extremely savvy businesspeople who understand how to run an efficient company and to sell their product, which happens to be photography. That is not to say you should not be skilled behind the camera, of course, but rather that it is not the only talent and knowledge you should develop should you want to turn this into an income-generator. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Choucino.
