One of the most difficult but important aspects of running a photography business is knowing how to price yourself. This helpful video will give you three pricing strategies to help you work toward becoming financially stable and successful in photography.
Coming to you from Chelsea Nicole Photography, this great video details three pricing strategies for your photography business. Pricing is something that a lot of photographers struggle with, but it's obviously crucial to running a successful business. For me, one of the most salient points was pricing into the market you'd like to be in. First, clients in the $3,000-5,000 wedding market are not likely to consider $1,000 photographers, simply because of the perception of quality they associate with different price tiers in their minds, regardless of the true quality you might offer. Second, would you rather spend your time doing 10 jobs a week for $200 or four jobs a week for $500? Of course, you need to have the skills to command higher prices, but once you do, it's important to earn what you deserve so you can run a successful business and not work insane hours. Check out the video above for the full rundown on all the strategies.
