2022 Will Be a Big Year for Capture One

A lot of photographers love Capture One, particularly for the image quality it produces and for its robust tethering capabilities. Capture One plans to expand in 2022, with a new iPad app on the way, and this video preview shows some of what you can expect.

I'll tell anyone who will listen to me how much I enjoy editing on my iPad. The great screen, combined with the natural feel of writing directly on the image and the ability to just curl up with the tablet is ideal for me. The iPad is about to become all the more versatile, as Capture One has released a preview of their upcoming iPad app, and it looks quite promising, as you can see in the video above. A beta version of the app is expected next month. In addition, users can expect an iPhone app later in 2022.

I am personally quite excited to see the app coming to the iPad. I have been using Lightroom and Affinity Photo quite heavily on mine for a few years now, and it remains my favorite way to cull and edit images, and as Apple continues to expand the iPad's hardware capabilities, it will be all the more fit to tackle heavy edits.

Nice. And David Grover is a master at presentation.

If this is all that’s coming to the initial version of C1P for iPad, that’s a BIG PASS… Whilst the controls do seem intuitive, the amount of controls MISSING from the desktop version cannot be justified; can’t even edit the histogram or curve’s???

As usual massive marketing fluff from Capture One.
