Wedding photography to me, is the hardest form of photography. There are so many different elements you have to deal with on extremely shot notices. However from the looks of it, Omar has that taken care of. His wedding/engagement shots are different from anything I have seen. From old vintage looks to high fashion James Bond inspired shots, Omar does it all.
” My name is Laina Briedis. I’ve lived on Long Island all my life, and for as long as I can remember I have been captivated with the concept, practice, and art of photography. You could say that I very often try to live vicariously though my pictures- each still frame is a dream I had once, an attempt to capture or at least encompass some aspect of infinity.
A few nights ago I was introduced to the work of Nirrimi. After reading her bio, I was floored to discover this photographer hasn't even lived two decades yet and has already shot major campaigns for companies like Diesel and Billabong. Her story is very inspirational, and makes me think that maybe I have been playing things too safe with my own career, maybe I should take some chances. If we fall on our face, we can always pick ourselves back up.
Happy Thanksgiving Fstoppers. I hope you are all having a wonderful day with friends and family (if you are somewhere which celebrates Thanksgiving). Each of us have particular photographers who we follow and are absolutely mind blown each time they post work. Matthieu Belin is one of those photographers on my list. His work has been published in Vogue, GQ, Elle, Surface, Life and Bazaar as well as many other well known publications and advertising campaigns. This latest shoot done in Anhui Village, China is just one more example of the incredible work Belin continues to create.
Liu Xianping is making headlines for modeling his granddaughter's fashion line for a new Chinese store called Yuekou. 72-year-old Liu posed for numerous product shots on Yuekou's Tmall website and according to an interview, the idea came out when Liu was helping his granddaughter, "Ms. Lu," unpack a shipment of new clothing.
Fashion Photographer Lindsay Adler has put together a new behind the scenes video that shows you how she is able to capture images of a model that look like silhouettes, but still have glare and depth as if they were wearing latex. This video shows us the lighting setup in her studio for capturing these unique images.
With a simple change in focal length, we know that we can drastically change and control the depth of field. In this lesson from The Slanted Lens, Jay P Morgan shoots a fashion portrait at the Vasquez Rocks in California. Not only does he cover how to control the depth of field, but you'll also learn how he uses this tip to enhance his work.
