Landscapes as in nature landscapes? Or will you also accept urban landscapes (cityscapes)?

Most of the submissions so far are nature landscapes but there are definitely a few of them with an urban element. It would seem that the best submissions will be nature though.

there's a reason why you know the term Cityscapes ( because they're a different category! ).

A landscape can contain a city as long as it's not the subject.
You can for example see one of my shots from Meteora, the city of Kalambaka can be seen in the photo, but it isn't the subject nor a focal point ( you barely notice it ), the focal point is the land of the Meteora.

Thats also how I normally understand landscapes, but he postet a cityscape of Rome in the article, so I had my daubt :)

I'm not sure I completely agree. I think the "New Topographics" kind of changed that.

Are the 2 illustrative images yours David?

Yeah, because that first one is fairytale-esque.

No, the 2 illustrative images were taken by Elia Locardi

ViewBug is mostly a bad deal. I am not saying they are a scam, but I know people who have won and they never got prizes and the ones they get are crap. Trust me.

I'm super new on Fstoppers, I wasn't around when this article originally came out, but I just got the reminder by email. I'll definitely be submitting a photo!

great image with great depth
