In 2017, ACDSee started their Photographer Spotlight program to give back to their users by providing new opportunities to talented rising stars in the photography world. For 2018, the ACDSee Photographer Spotlight program is set to continue with the chance for a budding photographer to win a four night, expenses paid trip to Montreal along with a professional photography assignment from ACDSee. In addition to covering the expenses of the trip, ACDSee is offering a minimum of $1,500 for the completion of the assignment while in Montreal.

The Spotlight

As its name suggests, the ACDSee Photographer Spotlight isn't just about the trip and assignment. It is an opportunity to be featured in one of ACDSee's promotional videos designed to draw attention to new faces in the photography world. The Contest

Entering the contest couldn't be simpler, all you need to do is head over to the contest page to submit your name, email, and Instagram link to be considered. Best make sure that you are showcasing your very best work on your Instagram profile, however, as ACDSee will be using those images to determine who will win! The contest is open for entries until May 4, 2018 which gives you some time to curate your image feed to be the best possible reflection of you! Who Is ACDSee?

For those who aren't familiar with ACDSee, they are an imaging software company based out of Victoria, Canada who make a suite of image editing tools that compete with Photoshop and Lightroom. ACDSee's flagship product, Photo Studio, is a full-featured photo editing application available for desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms which can be purchased outright or as part of ACDSee's aggressively priced subscription plan

I like their offer. However I bought the IPad version the other day. Not impressed so far.....buttons small and hard to change levels, The stickers are so “gimmicks” What I have done is ok, but It does not compare in my view to Adobe’s IPad apps. Or other Apps I have bought. But its on me...I get so “app happy” at times. Should have given the $7 bucks to charity

Anyone on Fstoppers use their destop version? If so what is your take away with the product and would be a good addition or replacement for Photo Shop?
