Submit your best photos tweaked with Ai
Welcome to the July installment of the Critique the Community! This month's critique theme is going to be "Augmented with Artificial Intelligence," and we want to see your best photographs that have been enhanced using Artificial Intelligence. This could be headshots that have been retouched using Ai, architectural images that use Ai to clean up landscaping, real photoshoots that were planned or designed with the help of Ai, or simply photos that have been re-rendered using an Ai image generator. The only requirement is that some part of the initial image was created by you, using traditional photography.
Top 3 Images - The top 3 submissions will receive their choice of any Fstoppers photography tutorial found in the Fstoppers Store.

When will the results of the last three contests be posted?
Yeah, I look forward to those videos more than I do the product reviews. I always learn so much from them.
I believe the videos are up, the titles of the videos make them harder to spot though.
The results and critique videos, including the last "motion" contest, have been posted to the Fstoppers YouTube channel. Don't ask me why they haven't been posted to the Fstoppers website here. Probably only Lee or Patrick could give a reason for that. But my question is... how hard could it be to show the critique video on a post here in Fstoppers? It took months of delays before I realized the videos were on YouTube. It makes no sense to me.
For what it's worth, I really dislike YouTube channels. There was a recent post here on Fstoppers by a real estate photographer talking about the business side of the work. Since I enjoy community comments in most cases as much as the articles themselves, I clicked on the YouTube link to see what other people were saying about the subject. I thought it odd that all of the posts were so flattering to the author. Am I the only one who disagrees with this guy, I was wondering? So I posted my thoughts on the subject. Not disrespectful or snarky. Just drawing from my 47 years of running a business of my own in order to expand on the subject, and I put a lot of thought into that comment. However, my comment was deleted before the day was through. Made me so mad. I contribute to the discussions in Fstoppers because I can write an opposing idea without being deleted. The contest results should be posted promptly here on the Fstoppers site. I can't imagine why they are not, or they take so long.
If an entire sky or background in a photo has been replaced, as in the example, I would no longer call it a photo. The result can be a nice picture but not a photo. Sad to see a contest like this on a site about photography.
People have been doing sky replacements since the days of film, that is nothing new. AI just has made it a bit easier. (and people have been making this argument since then as well)
Reality is, its impossible to take a photo that is a genuinely true representation of the scene. The photographer’s vision is always distorting reality.
Photojournalism aims to try to be as genuine as possible but most other genres do not try to be genuine at all.
If it bothers you, just don’t engage in it, but the photography world accepted creative editing as a cornerstone of photography a century ago.
