Photographer Ken Heyman recently uncovered a box he had tucked away for 50 years in a storage facility. This box was simply labeled "Mothers" and contained images he took 50 years ago as part of a Pulitzer nominated book entitled Family.
These stunningly candid images gives us a wonderful glimpse into the chaotic and rewarding life of motherhood, and show us that the mother child bond has remained fairly unchanged over the last 50 years. Heyman has perfectly captured the quintessenace of the maternal role in these photographs which he took across 60 different countries.
