10 Helpful Guidelines for Creating Better Landscape Images

Landscape photography can be a deceptively difficult genre to master, but with a lot of practice of technique and refinement of your creative vision, you can make big strides in the quality of your work. This helpful video will give you 10 guidelines to help get you on the right track sooner.

Coming to you from Serge Ramelli Photography, this helpful video will give you 10 guidelines for creating more compelling landscape images. I think one of the most helpful things Ramelli mentions is how the viewer's eye is typically drawn to the brightest part of the image. This was something I overlooked for a long time, and I had many otherwise strong images ruined by the fact that I had distracting highlights in the wrong place in the image. The placement of highlights in your photo can either make or break it, and using them to your advantage both when you compose the image and when you're post-processing can be quite a powerful tool. Check out the video above for all of Ramelli's helpful guidelines.
