5 Helpful Tips for Posing Couples

Posing is something a lot of photographers struggle with, particularly since it is not something you can just learn objective values for like you can with camera settings. If that is something you are struggling with a bit, check out this fantastic video tutorial that will show you five tips for posing couples.

Coming to you from Kesha Lambert with B&H Photo Video, this excellent video tutorial will give you five helpful tips for posing couples. Posing is often one of the last things a lot of photographers master, as it tends to be a bit more nebulous than things like how to place a light or what camera settings to dial in. On top of that, for those of us who tend to be on the shy side, it can be tricky to take the reins and direct people through poses. Certainly, while a certain level of organicism is great for producing candid, realistic shots of a couple, it will take some pressure off your ability to improvise if you have a few poses you know work well in the back of your mind coming into the shoot. This will allow you to ensure you get some keepers while leaving you room to experiment a bit too. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Lambert.
